We are hyped up for Seun Taiwo’s #KebbiTales photo exhibition, you should be too

You already know what say about images and the thousand word count. I bet they didn’t tell you anything about photo exhibitions. We’ll tell you.

They tell amazing stories.

Seun Taiwo’s photo exhibition is promising to tell one that is both profound, and scarcely told.

Taiwo spent most of 2015 serving Nigeria as a Youth Corper in Kebbi State.

And with the power of storytelling, he intends to use his lens to tell a story of the state that was home for a year. From the industrious women tilling the ground to fill our bellies.

To young men trailing the path of their ancestors.

From the teachers.

In the course of getting a formal education in Nigeria (up to higher institution level), a child will have to go through an average of 100 tutors/teachers/lecturers averagely 4 education institutions (sometimes as many as 10) and spend at least 20 years. . As Aisha* began her journey this day, I had the opportunity to witness the laying of the blocks upon which everything else will be built. . I’ll be sharing some stories and photographs bordering on the topic of education in the next couple of days. . Here’s from a series I title “Tomorrow today” .
