Yves Michel Fotso, former chairman of Cameroon Air stole ordinary $56 million, and they are jailing him for life.
Forget the fact that he already got a 25-year sentence for a separate graft case, but $56m and they want him to go in for life.
When he finds out that his friends in Nigeria have a different fate.
And that the money you mismanaged is just joking sturvs compared to some people.
Because in Nigeria, what is $56m if somebody can make $2.1 billion disappear in less than a year?
According to reports, Fotso is also found guilty of fraudulently withdrawing money from the CamAir account at the Bank of Cameroon.
Mr Fotso was actually handed a 25-year jail sentence in 2012 along with a former aide of the president, Marafa Hamidou Yaya. They were found guilty of embezzling $29 million that Cameroon paid for a presidential plane in 2001 that never arrived.
This is us trying to think of the last time a high-profile corruption case ended in a long prison sentence.
We have a question;
