It was the turn of Ibadan, the old capital of Western Region, to serenade its first military governor, General Adeyinka Adebayo (March 9, 1928 – March 8, 2017) on Thursday, May 18.
The remains of the one-time Chief of Staff of Nigerian Army laid in state at the old Parliament building in the ancient city.
