Rejoice everyone.
On the 16th and 17th of September, comic book junkies, artists, creative heads, and many more types of amazing people will convene for the the Lagos Comic Convention.
This event has been organised by Austin Osas and Ayodele Elegba since its inception in 2012, and it has been a success. Every year.

The pop culture convention this year is themed, “Creative Skills as a Tool for Economic Diversification,” and events will be held by a diverse range of talents, from Uganda, to the USA, to the UK, and many others.

If you might be missing out on the first day which consists mostly of workshops, panels, and all that, you don’t want to miss the next day’s event, a trade-fair styled event of exhibitions.
Venue is at NECA House, Alausa, Ikeja.
Last year had about 3,000 people in attendance. You don’t want to be left out this year, do you?
When you attend the event, you’ll probably see your colleague or someone you know dressed as superman.

Don’t panic. Its how you know you’re at the right place.
Someone is going to say hi and their face is going to be painted like this guy.
Nope. Don’t run. Say hi and take a selfie with them. The dress-ups are called cosplay.
If by now you think this is a great idea, you’ll likely find a facepaint stand somewhere. Don’t be shy.
It will be fun. Without a doubt.
You’ll find book stands all over the place. You won’t find newspapers and all that boring stuff. You’ll find comics, lots of them.
In the end, if you’re looking for a magical experience on the 17th of September in Lagos, then you should be at Comic-Con.
