Instead of burning people with, this artist has a better plan for tyres

The idea that there is such a thing as waste is a lie.

Ask Eluagu William, our plastic sculupture guy, or ask this proud son of Oputa who’s recycling tyres in the most amazing way.

The most (un)popular use of waste tyres in these parts is jungle justice. You know, where a righteously angry crowd puts a tyre round a person’s neck because they suspect he stole a spoon somewhere. They then find petrol even when it is scarce, douse their victim, and then light him up. Okon Trouble But MLOD, as he likes to sign his post and work, is doing something amazing with tyres.

So while you see this on the road,

12F tire – I am still thinking of a down hill ride.

He sees his next canvass.

This is called Tubber art, and in a poor recycling culture like ours, there can be no better time to find good use of what we would normally consider waste material. Isn’t this makeup set like none you’ve ever seen?

Or this interesting glass-top tyre table.

This could actually be the beginning of something interesting.
