Innoson Motors is joining the war against Boko Haram from the skies

While Nigeria is waging war against Boko Haram, the insurgent group that has ravaged different parts of the North, especially the North-East, another war is also brewing. The war to reduce our import dependency as a nation. Where these two events meet on the Venn Diagram, Innoson Motors is seeing an opportunity.

Nigeria’s first indigenous car manufacturing company has signed a partnership deal with the Nigerian Air Force to supply spare parts to help the military up its sky game in the war against the terrorists.

According to the spokesperson of the NAF, Ayodele Famuyiwa,

“The ingenious effort by IVM is instrumental to the continued operation of the Alpha Jets. IVM helped to save the day when help was not forthcoming from abroad.”

But the deal has been a long time coming.

According to CNN, the NAF first reached out to IVM in 2014, who have been building coaches since 2007, low key.

Now, IVM has our attention, especially lately with the #BuyNaijaToGrowTheNaira campaign.

Hopefully, this partnership produces significant results in Sambisa.explosion
