A former military governor of the Old Western Region, Major General Robert Adeyinka Adebayo (retd.) is to be buried in his home town, Iyin-Ekiti, Ekiti State this weekend.
A series of farewell services which started yesterday, May 17, have however been organized ahead of the final burial rite.
The May 17 service of songs held at Haven Event Centre, Archbishop Vining Memorial Cathedral Church, GRA, Ikeja at 5pm, while his was laid in state at his residence, 48, Oladipo Bateye Road, GRA, Ikeja between 7am and 8.30am this morning, followed by a commendation service presently happening at Archbishop Vining Memorial Church, Ikeja.

On Friday, the body will move to Ekiti State, where it would be laid in state at Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, during which leaders from the state will hold a tribute session for the departed elder statesman.
Later in the evening, a Christian wake will hold at his residence, Adebayo Compound, Iyin-Ekiti.
On Saturday, May 20, the funeral service will take place at All Saints Anglican Church, Iyin-Ekiti at 11am.
