It was a beautiful gathering put together to celebrate and honour Papa Dickson Adekunle Awode as he turned 80. The celebrant, no doubt, was full of joy and in high spirit as family, friends and acquaintances all dropped one thing or the other to rejoice with him. The classy, well-attended and star studded soiree couldn’t have been more befitting as nothing was in short supply yesterday Sunday 3rd of December, 2017 at The Grandeur Place, Billingsway, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos.In appreciation of all the good work of Papa, Engineer Dickson Awode, his son, CEO of Chemstar Manufacturing Company, makers of Finecoat and Shield Paints, Apostle Emmanuel Aderemi Awode spared no cost to give his loving and devoted father a birthday to remember.
It’s the wish of every man to live to a ripe old age, for Special Apostle Engineer (Dr.) Dickson Awode, it was indeed a wish come through and a day to remember as he witnessed his children, grand-children and great-grand-children celebrating a life of a patriarch who is blessed and favoured to have accomplished so much.
His son, the amiable Apostle Dr. Adweremi Awode, pulled out all stops and rolled out the drums in appreciating the presence of God in the life of a man who nurtured him to be who he’s today, his loving father.
The advantage if being 80 years old is that one has many people to love. The golden son, Remi Awode is not seeing 80 in his dad but a fine vine or vintage car that has increased in value over the years, Papa has been a treasure in his life and he’s grateful for that.
